Welcome to the character page for Marian Patricia Kaminskiy. It's a lot of name - but she's grown into it during her time at Battle School.

OOC information:
I renamed #3668 to Marian on February 4th, 2004, and she was promptly deposited into Launch A.
On February 15th, 2004, she was promoted into Manticore Army.
On May 31st, 2004, she got toon leadership for the first time.
On April 12th, 2005, she lost her toon after a fight.
On May 01, 2005, she regained toon leadership.
On August 21, 2005, she was promoted to command of Tide Army.
On September 24, 2006, she graduated and went on to Tactical School.

Marian is a small girl, probably no older than nine years old. Someone who doesn't know her might mistake her for a boy, due to her very short hair, boyish figure, and aggressive manner. The hair in question is dark brown, and looks nearly black next to her pale skin. Her bright green eyes tend to make her more alert than she really is, which helps to divert attention from her gracelessness - she's not uncoordinated or clumsy, but her mannerisms are either purposeful or rushed, never elegant.

She is wearing the dark blue uniform with white and light blue stripes of Tide Army, and a commander's patch.

Personality:	Marian is a clever, feisty little girl whose primary desire is to be one of the boys. She has a tendency to act and speak well before thinking about it, and this is combined with a generous helping of blunt honesty. She manages to stay (mostly) out of trouble, however, due to her ability to recognize when someone's been pushed too far.
Background:	Marian was raised by an ethicist and a chemical engineer, both of whom worked for one of the mining companies. Her parents were closet Catholics who were careful to teach their daughter the essentials of the Faith, even after she received her monitor. When Marian was three, her parents started her in school, a year earlier than usual for her area. In all of her subjects she was far ahead, despite the age difference. Four and a half months after her sixth birthday, she was taken to Battle School. She was one of the smallest in her launch, setting her back in learning physical skills - and this was the first time in her life that classwork was difficult. Finally, a year, ten months, and three weeks after her arrival, she was promoted into Manticore Army, under the command of Psyche. Almost exactly five months later, she got toon leadership for the first time, though an experienced toon leader was her toon second at first so that she'd have some guidance. Three months or so after that, Psyche graduated, and Augustine was promoted in her place. A year later, Augustine graduated, and Abdullah was promoted in his place. Six months into Abdullah's command, Marian tried to strangle Steven in a fit of rage. After returning from her four-day isolation experience, she lost her toon. However, a month later, Marian was given toon leadership again, to replace a transferred toon leader. In the meantime, she had been forced to work on a project with Davidson, as they both had attempted to strangle other soldiers, and in the course of the project discovered that he was also a closet Catholic. Two and a half months later, there was a battle tournament. Manticore lost in the third round, which deeply depressed Marian. A month and a week later, Abdullah graduated, and Cedion was promoted in his place. After only one battle under Cedion, though, Marian was promoted to replace Jared as commander of Tide Army. Marian's first battle as a commander was against Scorpion, and Tide won. Her second battle was against Spider, a loss; her third was against Asp, also a loss, and especially painful as it was against her near-brother, Davan. Her fourth battle was again against Scorpion, and again, Tide won. Next she battled Manticore, her old army and her other near-brother, Cedion, and won. Her fifth battle was against Condor, a loss after nearly two hours of fighting, made worse by the surviving Condor TL's order to make sure that all Tides were destroyed, not merely disabled. Her sixth and seventh battles were wins, and her eighth was a quick, decisive defeat. Her ninth, again against Asp and Davan, was a quick, decisive win. Her tenth was against her other near-brother, and was lost. Her next three battles were wins, and then the teachers transferred five Tides to other armies, promoting Yoren, one of Marian's TLs, to command Scorpion as well. The three battles after that were also wins - the last of which was once again against Davan and Asp - and then Marian lost to Cedion and Manticore, then lost to Davan and Asp. Then, after two more wins, ignignot, Marian's Elite-toon leader, was promoted to commmand Spider. Their very next battle was against Asp, and it was a brutal loss, followed by many brutal practices. Next, they battled Leopard^*, and won, and then battled Manticore and their new commander, and won again. After a third win in a row, against Centipede, Leif got command of Phoenix, the third of Marian's TLs to be so promoted, and at the same time, Naum, from the Elite-toon, got command of Asp. The promotion was followed up by a loss against Griffin, and that loss was followed by a loss against Rabbit, the very worst army on the board. Six days later, exactly six years after Marian arrived on the station, a teacher arrived with Marian's graduation notice while she was in the middle of an angry lecture to her soldiers. After a week at home, she went on to Tactical School.
